When I was a teenager I took my first mission's trip. It was on this trip that my heart was truly molded to help others in need. It was my first year in Bible College that I felt the call on my life specifically to Africa. I didn't know how or when, but I firmly believed that at some point in my life I would be involved in helping the people of Africa. Soon after this call I got married and started a family, but this desire never left my heart. My father-in-law has visited Dungu, DRC twice in the past few years. After hearing of the atrocities done to the women and children in this region of Africa I knew I had to do something about it. As a mother of four children under six I can't realistically go to Africa, but I can ride my bike. After some time in prayer and discussion with my husband, we agreed that I should join this bike team to raise awareness and financial support for the Congolese people!
