A few years ago our youngest children were able to attend a missions trip to Africa. At this time my husband, Jim, felt a strong calling to help the people of Africa. After hearing of the atrocities done to the women and children in this region of Africa, we knew we had to do something about it. He was able to visit Dungu, DRC and meet with the local people and learn their needs for trauma counseling, education, medical help, and centers to train the local people in these areas. After much prayer, and discussing it together, we knew Jim should commit to supervising the building of a training center in Dungu. He is planning on leaving for Dungu Summer 2016 for about 2 years to see this project through completion. It is in support of my husband that I am participating in this bike tour. I believe in the call God has placed on his life, and although I can't join with my husband in Dungu I can still do my part through providing support for the bike team during this ride.
